Composition: - All things in the photo help frame the picture itself yet the car could probably be taken out so it is completely focused on me and the longboard. I utilized rule of thirds in this photo to enhance the focus on me. I also used leading lines of the sidewalk to lead the eyes down the photo to me in the center. Technical Aspects: - Depth of field in the photo helps the photo showing the main focus in the foreground and blurring out the background. The blur of the background helps the focus of me standing in the middle. Post-Processing: - I used the camera raw filter to rid of the blue tint that was in the original photo and making it more warm to show more of a summery feel. Narrative/Storytelling/Communication: - The photo shows that I like to longboard or adventure. The graphic on the longboard of the map of California represents the sense of adventure that the person likes to go on. The posture shows strength and individuality with me standing by myself and straight up. The sense of independence is represented due to the body lines and posture of myself in the photo. Emotions: - Emotions could be the sense of missing summer and just wanting to adventure by yourself like people do in the summer. The warm tint in the photo conveys the sense of summer and warmth.
